| TITLE |
DESCRIPTION |
| Add GERBER Import Capability |
Can import GERBER files generated by GENESYS. May import other GERBER files if format matches GENESYS format. |
| Model names with spaces don't work |
If you create a new model with a space in the name you will get "Error in MODEL statement". |
| Export of Y-parameters causes GPF |
When EXPORT/S-PARAMS with unequal port impedances, the software asks if Y-params are wanted. If answer s yes, software GPFs |
| Allow Q Values to be specified in S/FILTER |
Q values cannot be set |
| Graph markers |
It is difficult to delete graph markers |
| Hiding footprint layers in footprint editor |
Cannot hide the footprint layers at the end of the list |
| Cannot double click a footprint to load it |
Go to Load Footprint. Double click
in the lower list box. Nothing happens. It should select
and load |
| Crash with Krylov turned on |
Some files caused a crash with Krylov on. |
| Autoscale algorithm |
The Autoscale algorithm picks poor scales. e.g., Flat trace - 52.5 resistor on 1 port |
| Smith Chart Stability circles fill the
wrong side of the circle |
This circle should fill the inside of the
circle, but instead fills the outside. |
| Dragging orthogonal line in =LAYOUT= |
0 line length error |
| Hitting 0 after drawing a line yields some
strange lines |
Place a horizontal line. While it
it still selected, hit 0. Some strange diagonal lines will
appear or it will add a small rectangle to the end of the line. |
| Changing Sweep Type to Linear: Step Size |
Do a parameter sweep and change sweep type
to Linear:Step Size. Hit OK. Open Parameter Sweep dialog
box again and sweep type has changed back to Points/Decade. |
| Warning dialog box pops up twice |
When you choose the # of divisions too
large or too small, the warning dialog box saying that it must be
an integer pops up twice. |
| HP Printers and other postscript printers
can cause GPF |
Postscript printer driver resets the floating
point exception flags. |
| Using variables like E1 in netlists yields
incorrect results |
E1 was recognized as a valid number |
| Target lines don't scroll with Smith Chart |
Add an optimization target like ANG[S11]=0. Put
S11 on a Smith Chart. Zoom in and scroll the chart, and the
target doesn't scroll. |
| "Battery on Key is Dead" Error |
"Battery on Key is Dead" error
occurs when parallel port is first accessed. |
| Cannot click to select second part of orthogonal
line |
Create an orthogonal line, you can only
use a mouse click to select the first line. Clicking on the
second line has no effect. |
| Convergence issues because AbsErr is unrealistic |
If AbsErr is unrealistic, convergence problems
occur. |
| Delta sweep not working properly in Linear
Sweep |
The number in the delta sweep box when
going back to edit the sweep is wrong. |
| Smith chart stability circles |
Use Ctrl+Arrows to scroll Smith chart,
stability circles don't move. |
| Simulation of circuit with more than 3
nonlinear elements crashes |
|
| MESFET gate current is incorrect |
In HB Analysis, MESFET gate current is
not correct. DC analysis is OK |
| Bad formation of negative numbers |
Bad formatting of negative numbers in Genesys,
when using engineering notation (off by 10) |
| Yin does not work on tabular output or
in equation block |
Place YIN1 or YIN on a tabular output. NOT
FOUND shows. |
| Layout reacts wrong for square-ended orthogonal
lines |
Draw a square-ended orthogonal line; drag
the ortho point so that the lines are at 45 degrees. Drag it
to a new spot. Layout does not redraw the screen properly. You
also cannot grab the line near to corners |
| Footprint preview window does not show
all the layers that it should |
Create a new Layout and hide the first
10 layers. Exit Genesys w/o saving. Run Genesys and go
to the Load Footprint dlg. The preview has many hidden layers
(it should not) |
| EMPOWER crashes when using more than 19
lumped elements |
|
| DC reports security error many times |
Once per analysis (each element in a sweep).
Now happens much less, but can still happen more than once
per workspace |
| Show authorized programs |
Shown in ABOUT box. |
| Netlist file with extra spaces gives errors
or wrong results |
Extra spaces on lines with comments are
not handled correctly |
| Ports are invisible in the footprint editor |
It is hard to find ports in existing footprint
ports. Thus there is impression that they are not there. |
| When sweep type has been changed to step
size, wsp icon doesn't disappear |
When you change sweep type to linear:step
size, the simulations/data icon in the workspace window is showing
0 as the step size. |
| Changing designator in schematic makes
part move back to initial position |
You already have a schematic and layout
and you change the designator in =SCHEMAX=. The component moves
back to its original position |
| Stability circles appearance changes as
you zoom in and out |
Zooming causes Smith Chart to change stability
circles |
| Equation statements line X=X or LEN=LEN
don't work |
Assigning a variable to itself gives a
bogus result (generally zero) or locks up. |
| Getting invalid eaglewin.ini or default.
eg$ when trying to restart M/Filter |
This tends to only happen on NT systems. After
using M/FILTER and returning to GENESYS, when you try to restart
M/FILTER, the program crashes. Getting invalid eaglewin.ini
or default.eg$ file. . |
| 7.5 help was compiled without full text
search |
Only Contents and Index tabs were available |
| Tuning in netlist does not update plots |
Tuning a value in a netlist does not trigger
a recalculation of results. |
| Graphing an invalid sweep crashes |
Plotting an invalid parameter sweep results
in an Access Violation |
| Asking for Noise causes DC/HB Analysis
to fail |
If NF is plotted, the zero frequency point
will not calculate properly |
| Need to allow commas to separate discrete
values in sweep |
An easy mistake is for the user to separate
values with commas |
| S/FILTER does not set the number of series
in a graph, causes later problems |
Hard to duplicate, but fix stops some ChartFX
bugs |
| ChartFX Error comes up many times |
Many users are getting "Invalid version
of ChartFX" Errors. |
