Adding Additional Nodelocked Codewords on PC Systems
               (Hardware Key)

The following instructions will guide you through the
steps to install your new nodelocked codewords.  If
you would like more detailed instructions, please
refer to Chapter 4 of the "Installation on PC Systems"
guide.

Agilent EEsof EDA uses 2 different types of hardware keys.
If your hardware key has a FLEXID that starts with 36C7 or
B285, you are using a Sentinel SuperPro key.  If the FLEXID
of you hardware key starts with 8-5E70, then you are using
a Dallas dongle.  Codewords for both types of keys can be 
mixed in a single codeword file.  Using a license.dat with
licenses for more than one hardware key requires you to
stack the hardware keys on the parallel port of your PC.


Instructions
------------
The license.dat file attached to this e-mail contains
additional codewords to be added to your existing
license.dat file.  Do not replace your existing
license.dat with the license.dat attached to this
e-mail.

1. Save the license.dat file attachment to a temporary
   location.  For example:

     c:\temp\license.dat

2. Using Microsoft Notepad or the DOS editor, open your
   existing license.dat file.  For example:

     c:\AdvDesSys1.5\licenses\license.dat

   IMPORTANT: Always use Notepad or the DOS editor to
   edit license.dat files.  Other editors may add extra
   characters that can make license.dat invalid.

3. Using another instance of Microsoft Notepad or the 
   DOS editor, open the new license.dat file.  For 
   example:

      c:\temp\license.dat

4. Copy the INCREMENT lines from the new license.dat
   file and paste them to the end of the existing
   license.dat file.  For example:

   c:\temp\license.dat  (new file)

5. Replace your existing license.dat file with the new
   merged license.dat file.

6. You are done and ready to use the added codewords.

Important Note About FLEXlm Software
------------------------------------
Always use the latest versions of lmgrd and hpeesofd
available.  As of ADS 1.5, the lmgrd and hpeesofd supplied
by Agilent EEsof EDA are v7.0g.  You may be able to get
a newer version of lmgrd from the Globetrotter Software
web site:

Agilent EEsof EDA is the only source for hpeesofd.  If you need
hpeesofd for any of the Agilent EEsof EDA supported platforms,

The latest versions of lmgrd and hpeesofd are always
backward compatible.  That is, all new versions of
lmgrd and hpeesofd are designed to work with software
that may have been designed using a previous version
