Overview

The optional SystemVue CDMA/PCS library contains the key models required to implement IS-95-A and ANSI J-STD-0008 CDMA and PCS communications systems. Used in conjunction with the SystemVue Communications library, the CDMA/PCS library allows you to implement the forward and reverse link transmitter, receiver, as well as the traffic, pilot, sync, paging, access, and reverse channels.

Individual models are provided for the elements making up the channel. Other models represent the entire channel as a single functional block. Rate sets 1 and 2 are supported. Propagation models include a basic Jakes multipath model plus the three multi-tap models described in the specification.

The simulation and models allow for the introduction of imperfections in each channel. These imperfections include Doppler, phase, and timing offsets. A waveform quality factor meter is included to aid the designer in determining the quality of the specific modulation and demodulation algorithms used in the design.

This IS-95-A system includes the base station transmitter and a 2 tap rake mobile station receiver. The base station has one pilot, one sync, one paging and five traffic channels. The mobile station is demodulating the paging channel.
