Agilent EEsof EDA provides support for multiple operating systems and hardware platforms for our products. Our organization periodically reviews and modifies its support strategy for software versions, computer platforms, and operating systems to ensure the best overall fit for our customers. We believe that this refocus puts us in a much better position to deliver more value through our existing product portfolio. All releases beyond 2006 will no longer offer HP-UX as an operating system option. Our current products that will be affected by this announcement include Advanced Design System (ADS), the Momentum Simulation Engine (MOM), RF Design Environment (RFDE), and the IC-CAP Parameter Extraction and Device Modeling tool (IC-CAP). The 2006 based releases will be the last releases to offer HP-UX operating systems as an option. Technical support will be available for products running on the HP-UX operating system until the first 2008 release. Agilent EEsof EDA uses a release management model to manage and deliver new value and quality improvements to our customers. Our products are typically delivered every six to nine months and are normally associated with the calendar year that they are delivered in. For example, "ADS 2005A" was made available in December of 2005. All currently supported software versions, computer platforms, and operating systems are listed on the following web page: We realize that discontinuing a platform could have a significant impact on some customers; therefore, we want to give you as much advanced notice as possible so that you can evaluate your own situation and prepare for any necessary changes.
