Subject: Discontinuance of Support for HP-UX 11.0 /11i Operating Systems

Dear Agilent EEsof EDA Customer,

This letter is to inform you of our plan to discontinue support for the HP-UX 11.0 and 11i operating systems. Agilent EEsof EDA will continue to support ADS/RFDE/IC-CAP running on HP-UX through the 2006 releases. Product releases beyond 2006 will no longer offer an HP-UX operating system option.

Agilent EEsof EDA provides support for multiple operating systems and hardware platforms for our products. Our organization periodically reviews and modifies its support strategy to ensure the best overall fit for our customers. This refocus puts us in a better position to deliver more value through our existing product portfolio.

We will support ADS/RFDE/IC-CAP 2006 running on HP-UX with the same level of software maintenance that you receive today. Technical support (phone, web, and email) for all 2006 products, including those running on HP-UX, will continue to be provided until the 2008 releases.

We realize that discontinuing a platform can have an impact on your organization and therefore we want to give you as much advanced notice as possible. We are ready to assist you with any challenges you may face as a result of this discontinuance. We remain committed to delivering the highest level of product quality and support to our customers with a variety of computing platform options including Windows-, Linux-, and Solaris-based systems.
