Ports can now be placed on any edge of a geometry, and also on interior surfaces, rather than only on the perimeter of the pattern. This allows more complex circuits to be simulated. Ports can be placed anywhere within a primitive. This provides more accurate simulation of the current flow to and from circuits where bond wires, or surface-mount components, are connected to the interior of a pad.
