Agilent EEsof EDA offers two distinct solution platforms to aid in the development and verification of communications architectures, algorithms, and RF/RFIC designs.

In Advanced Design System, the Ptolemy framework is the preferred solution for system level algorithm, RF subsystem, and RFIC performance verification.

SystemVue features graphically-based algorithm development and communications system design and prototyping.

Advanced Design System (ADS)

Agilent's powerful and flexible Ptolemy simulation framework allows integration of multi-discipline design IP, including analog-RF circuits, RTL in Verilog or VHDL, and M-Code into one complete system simulation.

Ptolemy. Agilent Ptolemy is integrated into the proven Advanced Design System (ADS) framework providing the backbone for high level system analysis and verification of lower level subsystems.

Agilent Ptolemy makes available the broadest portfolio of wireless reference and verification libraries in the industry, including all 2G/3G standards, wireless networking 802.11a/b/g/n, and emerging wireless technologies such as 3GPP-LTE, WiMAX 802.16d/e and WiMEDIA.

These libraries provide a "Golden Reference" for verifying IP and provide specificagtion- compliant physical layer verification templates for BER/FER, EVM, ORFS/ACPR, and other design specifications.

Advanced Design System also offers:

  • Accurate Baseband and RF Behavioral Models to enable and accelerate top-down design.
  • Wireless Libraries for leading signal formats including WiMax, Wimedia, LTE, and many others, to verify both baseband algorithm and RF design performance.
  • RF Architecture Design and Analysis in ADS allows you to architect RF subsystems using an intuitive RF Budget analysis and SPARCA (spectral propagation and root-cause analysis) analysis engine. Systems designed using RF Architect can be carried all the way through final top level system verification.
  • Preconfigured Antenna and Propagation Models, eliminating the need to write custom models.
  • Common Measurement Algorithms between simulation and instrumentation, to reduce unwanted surprises when transitioning from the simulation phase to the hardware testing phase.   » view online demo

SystemVue

SystemVue. Agilent's SystemVue platform is a simple, easy-to-learn and powerful signal processing development tool.

Communication system engineers and algorithm developers alike use SystemVue to capture and analyze design concepts in an intuitive block diagram environment. SystemVue provides all the necessary DSP, communications, and RF building blocks needed to construct a system or algorithm from scratch.

SystemVue offers code generation in VHDL or C-Code, thus allowing rapid prototyping of captured designs in FPGA or embedded DSP. Implementation trade-offs can be studied further by linking SystemVue directly with Xilinx FPGA or TI DSP through real-time links to these implementation platforms.
