Agilent's market leadership in RF simulation with their Advanced Design System simulator, combined with Tiburon-DA's innovations in compiler technology, will open the door to widespread use of Verilog-A for analog model development in both RF and microwave designs. |

Tiburon Design Automation (Tiburon-DA) provides a Verilog-A simulation module that is easily integrated into analog simulators. The module implements the OVI Verilog-A 2.0 standard and generates compiled code that achieves simulation speeds comparable to C-based models, allowing designers to develop complex analog models more quickly with less effort, while maintaining simulation performance and capabilities. Simple or complex analog models, ranging from behavioral models to transistor level compact models, can be implemented in Verilog-A and distributed to end-users in either source or compiled form. Tiburon-DA's products allow Verilog-A to replace C or proprietary Hardware Description Languages (HDLs) as the technology of choice in analog model development, and provides a path to analog model compatibility across simulation platforms - a long-standing problem for analog simulation users. Agilent EEsof's customers will have a simple, powerful, and fully portable solution to their analog modeling problems, with no loss of capability in the Advanced Design System environment. They will also have access to a large and growing base of existing Verilog-A models, including immediate access to Verilog-A compact models. Tiburon Design Automation Home Page
