It is wonderful to see how Agilent Ptolemy has evolved into an integral part of the wireless system design flow. Agilent has taken the concept of heterogenous design and made it practical for the wireless system engineer. I am especially pleased that our Ptolemy Project at U.C. Berkeley has been able to play a role in this by contributing some of the foundational technology. |

The Ptolemy project studies modeling, simulation, and design of concurrent, real-time, embedded systems. The focus is on assembly of concurrent components. The key underlying principle in the project is the use of well-defined models of computation that govern the interaction between components. Agilents implementation of Ptolemy technology has helped Agilent EEsof establish Agilent Ptolemy as the leading RF Communications System design tool. Ptolemy Project Home Page
