Course Design: Four Steps to LearningAgilent EEsof EDA e-Learning courses are designed to show you how to apply ADS in a similar manner to the instructor-led courses, but with a highly interactive, multimedia approach. Each course has four main components: Theory, Lab Video, Lab Instructions, and a Quiz to test your understanding of the material.
Theory. Each course begins with a Theory section. This section uses pop-up text, audio narration, and convenient operational tips to explain a primary function or feature of ADS. This theory provides you with the fundamental knowledge for a given ADS feature or operation.
Lab Video. Lab Videos provide narrated videos of the actual use of ADS and describe how to complete the Lab Exercise. You need to have Windows Media Player installed to play these videos. Simply click on the Lab Video icon and then click on the video link to play. The videos correspond to the steps in the actual Lab Exercise you will be completing.
Lab Instructions. The Lab Instructions lead you through the use of ADS. These exercises are in PDF format and can be viewed on line or printed for your convenience. You may want to go back to the Lab Video section if you need to review a particular section of a lab.
Quiz. The Quiz section contains two or three questions that review the concepts covered in the module. These questions will help you determine your understanding of the module.
If you leave a module, your location in the course will be automatically bookmarked so that when you reenter the course, you can start where you left off. Modules will be marked completed if you have completed the Theory section and have viewed all of the questions in the Quiz section. Once you have completed the entire course, a comprehensive assessment will become active in your “My Activities” section. You can take this assessment to determine you knowledge of ADS with regard to the topics covered in the course. Incorrect answers will direct you to the appropriate section of the course.
