Use the asterisk (*) as
a suffix wildcard character in keywords. Example: enter
param* to find documentation with keywords such as parameter or parameters
or parametric.
Use quotes to find an exact
phrase. Example: "parameter
extraction"
Enter multiple keywords,
such as model parameter, or a Boolean expression, using AND, OR
and NOT.
Entering model parameter
is the same as entering model and parameter. Note: multiple
keywords entered without a Boolean use the AND expression.
Use an expression like parameter
or extraction to find documentation containing either keyword.
You can also use parentheses
in Boolean expressions. Example: (extraction
and measurement) or optimization
Use NEAR operator to find
keywords that appear near each other. Example: enter
model near parameter to find documents with model and parameter
appearing near one another.
Besides using NEAR operator,
you can specify how close keywords could be. Example: enter
"model w/5 parameter" (with quotes) to find documents where
model and parameter appear within a frame of 5 words, or "w/7
model parameter optimization" to find model, parameter, and optimization
within a 7 word frame. Common words are not counted
as part of word frame.
Error Messages Error occurred. Do Ctrl-Refresh/Reload.
See Error Messages in Search Tips below.
This error typically occurs in Internet Explorer. It happens when you open the
Search window, then return to the documentation using the browser's Back button
or any of the documentation navigation features, then reopen the Search and enter
a query.
Workarounds:
Do a Ctrl-Refresh to refresh the Search window, make sure the "show in
new window" option is checked, then re-enter the query. If this does not work,
close all browser windows, and reopen IC-CAP Help (Help > Topics and Index).
To avoid this error, open two IC-CAP Help windows. Open the first one and
open the Search window in it, then continue to use this window only for searches
and opening topics from the list of results. Open a second IC-CAP Help window and
use it only to navigate through the documentation.
